Southside First Economic Development Council announces its role in the Legacy Business Program Working with World Heritage Office and Office of Historic Preservation to offer small businesses resource workshops for longtime businesses
San Antonio, Texas (April 23, 2018) -- Southside First Economic Development Council has announced an ongoing partnership with the Office of Historic Preservation and the World Heritage Office to offer business capacity building courses to Legacy Business Program recipients.
The Legacy Business Program will enable a registered Legacy Business to obtain up to $10,000 in matching grants for help with signage, landscaping, parking and overall facade. The program seeks to highlight San Antonio businesses that contribute to the authentic identity of the city – which will also sustain longtime businesses near the historic Southside Missions.
Individuals or businesses wishing to nominate (or self-nominate) a legacy business – e-mail the Office of Historic Preservation at firstname.lastname@example.org , send a letter of nomination to the address below, or tag #legacybizsa on social media to nominate a historic business and help keep San Antonio authentic.
